Q: What is a vent alarm?
A: This is a safety feature for basement oil tanks that protects against overfilling and spills. The vent alarm is located between the tank and the vent pipe. During a delivery, our driver connects a hose from the oil truck to the fill pipe. As oil flows into the tank, air passes through the vent alarm, making a whistling sound. When the whistling stops, the driver knows the tank is full.
Q: Why can’t I order fuel and get it delivered at a specific time?
A: In order to accommodate as many customers as possible, our routes are pre‑planned, and are based on an automatic delivery schedule that includes dozens of stops per day. This makes it difficult for us to pinpoint exact arrival times for customers who call for their fuel.
